Take the family to Wills Park for disc golf or take your furry friend to Waggy World dog park. Seek out the ‘play me again” piano at Cogburn Park & Arboretum to tickle the ivory keys. Run, walk, bike or skate through 9 miles of paved trail on the Big Creek Greenway. Get your steps in between your adventures in Avalon and Downtown Alpharetta on the Alpha Loop—a beautiful, well-lit, paved walking trail connecting these two districts.

Take a Walking Tour

Continue your on-foot adventures with the Alpharetta Arts Walking Tour, where you can see unique (and some interactive) pieces of art that celebrate different aspects of Alpharetta. Make sure to bring your phone to snap Insta-worthy photos of your favorite pieces along the tour!

Or learn about the heroes of the past at the Walk of Memories, a memorial tribute to U.S. Veterans. Highlighting several conflicts including WWII, Korea, and Vietnam Wars – all ages will marvel at the WWII M60 tank, a Vietnam-era UH-1 Huey helicopter, and a 40mm Mark 1 twin gun mount from the USS Polk County.

While you may be tempted to pull out your wallet at the Alpharetta Farmers Market due to the extensive fruits, flowers, veggies, and goods sold throughout the market, we think you can still enjoy this free event without breaking out the cash. Frequently including live music and activities for children, the market takes place in Downtown Alpharetta each Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. through November 26.

Immerse Yourself in Art

Stroll through Alpharetta Art in the Park at Brooke Street Park, where you can admire the work of local artisans.
