Alpharetta’s Parks, Trails & Open Spaces

Alpharetta has over 25 parks including active, passive, community, and pocket parks. These parks are home to more than 775 acres of lush green space and an array of amenities for visitors to enjoy. Enjoy acres devoted to walking trails, playgrounds, sports fields, arboretums, and community parks. At the expansive Wills Park, along with excellent sports and recreational facilities, you’ll find Wills Park Equestrian Center, one of the finest equestrian facilities in the Southeast. Alpharetta also boasts a beautiful greenway system along Big Creek that provides a naturally picturesque pathway for bikers and hikers of all ages to enjoy.


Alpha Loop
A one-mile paved trail connecting Downtown Alpharetta and Avalon.


Alpharetta Arts Center
Home to a black box theatre, art studios, gallery exhibits, art events and Play Me Again Piano’s first (and currently the only) upcycled Baby Grand Piano.


Alpharetta Elementary School Community Park
Local one-acre school park featuring playground, track, play field and basketball courts.


Alpharetta Farm at Old Rucker Park
A two-acre working farm with multiple gardens, greenhouse and outdoor classroom.


Brooke Street Park
Five-acre passive park in Downtown Alpharetta behind City Hall. Features an arboretum, winding paved trail and stream, art sculptures, cover bandstand for concerts and reflection garden.


Canton/Old Canton Pocket Park
Located at 53 Old Canton Street in in Downtown Alpharetta this park features a fountain, permanent outdoor art sculpture and little free library.


Cogburn Road Park & Arboretum
Nearly six acres featuring an arboretum, small pavilions, walking path, Little Free Library and Play Me Again Piano.


Crabapple Government Center
Indoor space featuring a gym, social hall and classrooms.


Encore Park
Six-acre park featuring a walking trail, play field and outdoor art sculpture.


Maddox Park
Located at 174 South Main Street in Downtown Alpharetta. Features a fountain located in front of the Alpharetta Welcome Center.

Maxwell Park
2.6-acre park located at 9305 Westside Parkway with a playground.


Memorial Park
A one-acre park located in front of the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety Headquarters with a Veterans Memorial.

Milton Avenue Park
3.2-acre park featuring a historic log cabin and historical marker.


North Park
97 acres with an array of sports fields, Adult Activity Center, reflection garden, lake, Little Free Library and walking trails.


North Main Street Park
Small half-acre park located at the corner of Main Street and Milton Avenue. Features a fountain, gazebo for intimate concerts and a historical marker.


Rock Mill Park
20-acre park that backs up to the Big Creek Greenway and serves as an access point to the Greenway. Home to small pavilions, environment education area, arboretum, Little Free Library and Play Me Again Piano.


Roswell/Old Roswell Pocket Park
Located at 37 Roswell St. in Downtown Alpharetta. Features a fountain and permanent outdoor art sculpture.


Silos Park
One-acre park located at 12375 Crabapple Road with four grain silos and a display describing their historic meaning to the community.


Thompson St. Park
One-acre park located along the AlphaLoop, small lake and outdoor art sculpture.


Town Green
Located in Downtown Alpharetta, adjacent to City Hall, the green features a fountain in which children can play.


Union Hill Park
A 13-acre park located off Windward Parkway with a “pop up” skate park and covered pavilion available for rent for private events.

Walk Downtown Alpharetta
Four walking tours in Downtown Alpharetta along with the Wills Park trail loops encourage healthy living and wellness through walking. Check out the trails and loops Downtown Alpharetta has to offer!


Webb Bridge Park & Arboretum
A 109-acre park with an array of sports fields, lake, walking trails, arboretum, Little Free Library, Play Me Again Piano and adult fitness equipment.


Westside Fitness Park
A 1.8-acre area with outdoor adult fitness equipment. Located just outside of Avalon on Westside Pkwy. across from 3rd St.


Wills Park & Arboretum
Alpharetta’s largest park with 120-acres! Features an array of sports fields and courts, disc golf course, Community Garden, batting cages, three playgrounds, multiple pavilions, walking trails, Alpharetta Pool, Equestrian Center, art sculptures, Community Center, Recreation Center, adult fitness equipment, two Little Free Libraries, Play Me Again Piano, Mansell House & Gardens and more.


Windward Community Park
A 3-acre park with playground, pavilions, Little Free Library and play field.


Big Creek Greenway

The following parks are access points for Alpharetta’s 9 mile Greenway trail system.

    On-site parking and restrooms available. Park is also home Preston Ridge Community Center with multiple classroom and meeting rooms available for rent for private events.

  • Union Hill Park
