Fall has officially arrived, signaling the start of cooler temperatures and even cooler activities! Whether you’re looking for a daytime itinerary for family fun or planning a getaway for Fall break, Alpharetta has plenty of fun activities to make this Fall a blast. Assemble the crew and head on over to Alpharetta for a Fall that is chalk full of family fun!

16th Annual Scarecrow Harvest

One of Alpharetta’s favorite Fall traditions is the Scarecrow Harvest, taking place October 5 – November 1. This is a whimsical time in the city where the streets and green spaces of Downtown Alpharetta come alive with colorful and creative life-size scarecrows. You and your family will love seeing the downtown streets decorated with these scarecrows made by local students and teachers, businesses, families, and organizations. Each scarecrow has its own personality and theme making it truly unique. For extra fun, create a scarecrow scavenger hunt for the kids and take photos with each scarecrow they find!

Wire & Wood Alpharetta Music Festival

The popular Wire & Wood Alpharetta Music Festival is returning to Downtown Alpharetta on October 8 and 9 for two days of music, delicious dining, and lots of fun. With more than 30 artists and 6 outdoor stages, Wire & Wood is teeming with entertainment for you and the fam to enjoy. In addition to all the cool jams, plan to grab a bite to eat at one of Downtown Alpharetta’s over 65 dining spots! Wire & Wood weekend is also the perfect excuse for an Alpharetta staycation. Enjoy the music and then head to one of Alpharetta’s 30 hotels to rest your heads.

College Football Game Days on the Big Screen

For the family who loves football, you can’t miss College Football Game Days on the Big Screen at Chiringa presented by Home Town Mortgage on select Saturdays in Downtown Alpharetta. Score some snacks and drinks from Chiringa, settle in to watch the game, and relax while the kids play cornhole on the Town Green. On October 16, catch Georgia vs. Kentucky, Florida vs. LSU, or Alabama vs. Mississippi State. On October 30, get dawg-gon’ excited for Georgia vs. Florida. On November 6, enjoy Alabama vs. LSU or Georgia vs. Ole Miss. On November 27, it’s rivalry weekend (even a house divided can have fun here!). Don’t forget your tailgate chair!
