Halloween is one of those holidays that can land smack dab in the middle of the week, or it can migrate to a weekend depending on the year. This year, Halloween falls on a Tuesday, but have no fear, we have the perfect excuse for a loooong weekend full of Halloween mischief. Fill out that PTO form and get ready to enjoy a getaway full of Fall festivities! Whether it’s a trip with friends, family, or your “boo”, there’s plenty of fun awaiting you in Alpharetta.

- Trick or Drink at Avalon – Whether throwing on a pair of kitten ears or executing an elaborate costume complete with hair and makeup, Avalon’s Trick or Drink event is the perfect place to rendezvous with your ghouls and gals. Enjoy tricks, treats and a live DJ from 6-9 PM. Admission required.

- Avalon Nights Live – From 6 – 8 PM, enjoy live music at Avalon’s Plaza from Band X! Bring a basket of goodies to enjoy and listen to hauntingly good tunes as you help close out the Avalon Nights Live season. Free admission.

- Harvest Moon River Date Night/BFF Night – From 7 – 9 PM, head to Painting with a Twist with your besties or your boo and enjoy learning to paint a Harvest Moon River. You can enjoy wine and other refreshments while learning tips and tricks from the talented instructor! Admission required.

- Hamlet at Brooke Street Park – To be, or not to be, at Brooke Street Park on October 27th (or 28th) – that is the question! The answer is that you absolutely should! Produced in partnership with City of Alpharetta Recreation, Parks, Cultural Services, Hamlet is one of Shakespeare’s most popular, and most puzzling plays. Enjoy watching ACT1 Theater bring this mysterious work to life at 7:30 PM on the 27th, and noon and 7:30 PM the 28th! Free admission.

- Alpharetta Farmers Market – While it isn’t quite the same as Trick-or-Treating, you’ll definitely fill a basket full of goodies when you stroll through the Alpharetta Farmers Market from 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM in Downtown Alpharetta. Featuring farm-fresh produce, locally sourced jams, jellies, honey, and plenty of other fantastic finds, the market is a favorite activity for residents and visitors alike. Free admission.

- Trick or Treat at Avalon – From 10 AM – 12 PM, bring the kiddos to Avalon in their favorite costume and don’t forget their candy bucket! Drop by Avalon’s Concierge to pick up a Trick or Treat map and stop by participating retailers who will be handing out candy. Once you’ve collected all of your candy, return your completed map to Concierge for a chance to win an Avalon family fun prize! Free admission.

Live music from Hot Flash, an 80s New Wave Alternative Rock Dance Tribute band, will keep you groovin’ at this party that happening from 8 – 11:30 PM. Wear your best costume and enter the costume content for a chance to win $500! There is a $10 cover charge after 7 PM, but guests who come in costume will have the cover charge waived!
