In Food + Drink

Whether you’re a foodie or want to find a new favorite dish, Alpharetta is getting ready to exceed your dining dreams during Alpharetta Restaurant Week. Celebrate exceptional cuisine between February 21-27, when you can try prix fixe three-course dinner menus including a starter, entrée and dessert for $20 – $50 for dinner (price varies by restaurant and does not include beverage, tax, and gratuity). Some participating restaurants will also offer three-course lunches for $16 – $35.

Here are 5 don’t-miss second course entrees to order up during the 2021 Alpharetta Restaurant Week!

1. Chef Boyd’s Southern Fried Chicken at Secreto Southern Kitchen

Secreto Southern Kitchen takes traditional Southern fare and gives it a touch of flair. Chef Boyd’s famous fried chicken pairs a perfectly juicy, yet crispy chicken breast with the most perfect buttermilk mashed potatoes and garlicy green beans. However, the true secret to this grand slam entrée is the smoked bacon jalapeño gravy, which brings subtle heat and a punch of flavor to the dish. Though it’s a serving big enough to share, we can promise you will not want to!

2. Kona Surf & Turf at Kona Grill

Two words that make your mouth instantly start watering: surf and turf. Kona Grill is offering an 8-oz pan seared filet finished off with lobster butter and sea salt accompanied on the plate with a Monte Carlo sushi roll, which is a lobster-filled, crispy tempura roll with spicy motoyaki sauce. In one dining experience you’ll capture the true essence of Kona—great grilled favorites and spectacular sushi. This menu option is a $10 upgrade but worth every penny!

3. Fried Green Tomato BLT at The Southern Porch

Want to try out Alpharetta Restaurant Week for lunch, too? Look no further than The Southern Porch for an amazing Fried Green Tomato BLT. The Southern Porch elevates a traditional BLT sandwich by trading a regular tomato for one of their delicious fried green tomatoes and adding a dollop of pimento cheese. This true southern sandwich makes for a lunch that anyone would daydream about.

4. Prime Beef Short Rib at Ray’s at Killer Creek

An exceptional Prime Beef Short Rib at Ray’s at Killer Creek will delight your tastebuds and wallet. Served with Yukon Gold whipped potatoes and grilled asparagus, you’ll savor the flavors of the short rib, cooked to the perfect temperature. And did we mention that all of Ray’s at Killer Creek’s Alpharetta Restaurant Week menu items are offered for dine-in or takeout.

5. Chicken Francese at Ippolito’s Italian Restaurant

Turn on “That’s Amore” by Dean Martin and get in the mood for Italian food, because you can’t miss the Chicken Francese at Ippolito’s Alpharetta. A plump chicken breast sauteed with sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, lemon and white wine develops a divine flavor and aroma, which is only made better when served on a bed of linguine. Pair that with a glass of Pinot Grigio and you’ll feel like you are dining in Tuscany. Mangia!

But don’t forget the first and third courses…
For truly stunning starters and delectable desserts, make a point to try these excellent epicurean delights during Alpharetta Restaurant Week. Appetizers you can’t miss including Wagyu Meatballs from CRU Food & Wine Bar. End your dining adventures on the perfect sweet note with a heavenly slice of Hummingbird Cake from Branch & Barrel or the Bistro VG’s “Killer” Tiramisu from Vinny’s on Windward.
