1. Take an Outdoor Art Adventure

Start with Alpharetta’s self-guided Arts Walking Tour, where 30+ sculptures are scattered throughout downtown. Along the route, you’ll find permanent installations alongside rotating works that bring fresh artistic perspectives to the city each year. Be sure to look for the new hummingbird sculpture titled, Just One Look by Greg Johnson, which is part of the temporary new exhibit, Dazzle & Discord.

Continue your exploration with Artscape Alpharetta along Kimball Bridge Road, where artist-designed banners transform a familiar corridor into a colorful display of local creativity.

For an even more immersive experience, visit during Paint the Town: Alpharetta Plein Air from October 20-24. Artists from across the country will spend five days creating original works inspired by Alpharetta’s landscapes, streetscapes, and gathering places. Visitors can watch artists paint live on location and shop for one-of-a-kind pieces during the Wet Paint Sale following the event.

2. Explore the Alpharetta Arts Center

At the center of Alpharetta’s creative community is the Alpharetta Arts Center, the hub for artistic expression in the city.

Visitors can explore rotating exhibitions featuring local, regional, and national artists while discovering a variety of artistic styles and mediums. Make sure to visit before October 17 to see the current exhibit Voces del Corazon, Art from the Soul.

Don’t miss Battle of the Bands on October 17, where youth musicians will showcase their musical talents and compete for the title of the best band in town.

3. Discover Local Galleries and Creative Spaces

Explore contemporary works at OYA Art Gallery, where a diverse collection of artists and styles creates an engaging visual experience. At Noor Studio & Gallery, visitors can browse fine art while learning more about the creative process through workshops and educational programming.

Art lovers should also add The Hamilton Hotel Art Tour to their itinerary. The boutique hotel’s permanent self-guided audio art tour features 47 original works by ten acclaimed regional and internationally recognized artists.

4. Experience Art at North Point Mall

Browse local artwork inside the mall at The Scene Art Gallery, where emerging and established artists from the region transform this space in the mall to one of color and creativity. Stop by on October 17 for the month’s Spotlight Show, Year 3000: The Future of Art. Then head over to the Spotlight Community Stage, with upcoming performances of Disney’s Descendants: The Musical and Vanya & Sonia & Masha & Spike.

5. Enjoy a Performance by the Alpharetta Symphony

Art isn’t limited to what hangs on a wall or sits on a pedestal. Some of the most memorable artistic experiences happen through music!

The Alpharetta Symphony brings audiences together through performances that showcase the beauty and power of live orchestral music. Grab tickets for October 30 to get a taste of both Tchaikovsky and Borodin for an experience that both entertains and inspires!
