The Lighting of Avalon

A celebration for the season you won’t want to miss! Get in the holiday spirit with festive music and free activities for the whole family.
From the annual opening of Avalon on Ice to the magnificent tree lighting and an appearance from Jolly Old Saint Nick himself, there’s something exciting for all to enjoy.
Schedule of Events:
2:00–3:00 pm: Activity Row
Gather around the rink for a magical ice skating performance featuring students of all ages.
3:00 pm: Avalon on Ice opens to the public
3:00–5:00 pm: Atlanta Figure Skating Club
Take the family for a stroll along Avalon Boulevard for face painting, holiday crafts, photo booth fun, and more!
Holiday Performances:
3:00–3:20 pm: Nutcracker Performance by Atlanta Dance Theater
3:30–4:00 pm: The Davis Academy
4:15–5:15 pm: Run Katie Run
5:30–7:30 pm: Bogey and the Viceroy

Tree Lighting:
Help Santa count down to the lighting of our magnificent 40-foot tree to kick off the perfect holiday at Avalon! Starts promptly at 7:00 pm
Parking Information:
Guests may park in any of our free parking decks, valet at 3rd Street, or park across the street at Gwinnett Technical College, where we will have shuttles running to our property. Because parking will fill up quickly, we recommend carpooling or using a ride-share service to ensure a smooth arrival and departure.
