Introducing Tony Exum Jr., the sensational saxophonist blending contemporary jazz, R&B, and funk into an unforgettable musical experience.

With a smooth and soulful sound that resonates deeply, Tony has carved out a unique niche in the music world. His rise to international acclaim began in 2019 with the release of his captivating single “My Name’s Tony,” which not only captured hearts but also secured a remarkable 12-week run on the Smooth Jazz Network’s top 100 chart. With performances that have graced esteemed festivals and venues like the Middle C Jazz in Charlotte, the San Diego Smooth Jazz Festival, the Winter Park Jazz Festival, the Myrtle Beach Jazz Festival, and the Boscov’s Berks Jazz Festival, Tony’s artistry knows no bounds.

Beyond his electrifying performances, he lends his voice five nights a week to Jazz 93.5 FM, where he curates the airwaves with the latest in contemporary jazz, showcasing his passion for the genre. Additionally, Tony performed the National Anthem for the NBA Denver Nuggets and, in January 2025, the NFL LA Rams at SoFi Stadium.

Tony’s artistic journey is adorned with two critically acclaimed albums, “Finally” and “The One,” alongside a collection of seven singles, including the chart-hitting gems “Brighter Days” and “Get At You.” In 2022, he took a significant step forward by signing with Sony/The Orchard/BSE Recordings, releasing “Everything,” which soared to #19 on the Urban Influencer R&B Soul Chart. His latest offerings include the chart-topping “Hold My Hand,” which reached an impressive #1 on the Urban Influencer Radio Airplay Experts Smooth Jazz chart, and his latest “Mr. S A X,” featuring Teri Tobin, currently in the top 20 of the Urban Influencer Smooth Jazz Chart and reaching the Smooth Jazz Spain top 100, peaking at #26, as well as Allen Kepler’s Smooth Jazz Network top 100.

Adding to his accolades, Tony is featured on the 2024-released track “I Wanna Be Closer” (originally recorded by the 70s Motown group Switch) by R&B legend Glenn Jones featuring Eric Nolan of the O’Jays, which debuted at #1 on the Amazon R&B UK Charts, reached #1 for two weeks on the Urban Influencer R&B/Soul, and garnered a 2024 Indie Soul Awards nomination. As he prepares for his upcoming tour for 2025, with performances lined up in vibrant locales like North Carolina, California, Houston, Denver, and Dallas, the excitement surrounding his music continues to grow. Tony has shared the stage with a who’s who of R&B/soul and contemporary jazz talent, including Billboard #1 smooth jazz artists Adam Hawley, Julian Vaughn, Lin Rountree, Elan Trotman, Najee, and the late Nick Colionne, and R&B stalwarts like 90s sensations Shai, Surface, Donell Jones, Ginuwine, Adina Howard, and Howard Hewitt, just to name a very small few.
