Saxophonist Omie Crockett, III

ONE SHOW ONLY: 7pm. Omie Crockett III is a saxophonist, composer, arranger, and bandleader from Birmingham, Alabama. An active member of both the Birmingham and Atlanta jazz communities, Omie earned his Master of Music in Jazz Studies from Georgia State University. He performs regularly throughout the Southeast with his own ensembles and as a sideman. His playing and writing draw from the rich traditions of jazz while incorporating his own contemporary voice and approach. He also serves as the Co-Director of the AAJO Jazz Big Band.
