Free Printmaking Workshop June 19 at the Arts Center

Celebrate Juneteenth in this printmaking workshop inspired by American printer, book artist, and papermaker, Amos Paul Kennedy Jr., and his bright, impactful letterpress work! In this unique all-ages workshop, participants will get to pick from a selection of pre-printed backgrounds, draw or create their own backgrounds, and then print letterpress sayings on top using a small tabletop proofing press and preset Wood-type phrases celebrating African American culture. No experience is necessary. All ages are welcome (children under 13 should have a parent/guardian). Materials included!
