The Taste of Alpharetta boasts an unforgettable array of culinary magic throughout the area’s charming downtown. This annual event will celebrate the vibrant food community of Alpharetta through dining events, cooking demos, culinary collaborations, and tasting tents galore.
Rain or shine, locals and visitors alike will be treated to savory, sweet, spicy, and umami dishes from over 60 of Alpharetta’s best restaurants. Previous Taste-goers have discovered everything from elevated Southern cuisine to authentic Korean BBQ, pillow-soft masa tacos to hand-dipped cake donuts, and lots of other stomach growl-inducing specialties.
Admission is free, but food ticket purchases are required. Restaurants participating in the Taste of Alpharetta will not accept cash. Restaurants charge $2-8 per food sample.

Alpharetta’s Culinary Competition
Alpharetta’s Culinary Competition Unveils Top Dishes Ahead of Taste of Alpharetta on May 9. Alpharetta restaurants faced off in a culinary showdown leading up to the longest-running “Taste of” event in Metro Atlanta. The Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau, in collaboration with the City of Alpharetta, announces the winners of the inaugural Alpharetta Culinary Competition held on Thursday, April 25.
The 2024 Alpharetta Culinary Competition featured blind judging and was open to participating Taste of Alpharetta restaurants with a permanent location within Alpharetta city limits. Restaurants were tasked with presenting a signature dish from their year-round menu. Attendees of Taste of Alpharetta on May 9 will have the opportunity to sample dishes from all participating restaurants.
– Best Appetizer: Shrimp Toast from Lapeer Steak & Seafood
– Best Entrée: Mixed Grill Kabob from Café Efendi Mediterranean Restaurant
– Best Dessert: Açaí Bowl from Vitality Bowls Alpharetta
Kidz Zone
Let the little ones unleash their energy with all-you-can-play access to new games, rides, inflatables, and challenge courses in the Kidz Zone. Attendees can purchase one wristband for $15 or bundle it for extra savings and get two for $25 or three for $30.

Locally Grown
Locally Grown is an educational play space for the community to learn about all aspects of the food system through hands-on activities. Gain a deeper connection to the food you eat by learning about soil health, the importance of pollinators, local farm programs, and more!
This year’s Locally Grown organizations include AGaretta Box, Alpharetta High School Raiders Culinary, Cambridge High School FFA, Fresh Harvest, Fulton Science Academy, Milton Bee Club, North Fulton Farm Bureau, North Fulton Young Farmers, and UGA Extension – Fulton County.
