Downtown Alpharetta is gearing up for a colorful fall tradition! From October 8–November 2, more than 100 scarecrows will take over our streets as we celebrate 20 years of Scarecrow Harvest. Have a scarecrow idea that could wow the crowd?
New This Year—Pick Your Patch Location & Scavenger Hunt
This year, you get to pick your patch location. It’s first-come, first-served, so complete your application ASAP and grab your preferred spot early! We’re also rolling out a fun Scavenger Hunt to make sure everyone sees the whole display. Visitors will even get to vote for their favorite scarecrow!
Scarecrow Community Competition
Do you have an imaginative idea for a scarecrow? We want to see it! All scarecrows are eligible for this year’s Scarecrow Community Competition. Judging will take place on Tuesday, October 14th, based on the following categories:
- Laugh Out Loud Crow
- Spookiest Crow
- SchCOOLest Crow
- Best in Show Crow
- Celebrity Crow
- Recycle Crow
Winners will be announced at Boo Bash, featured online in the local paper, and best of all, they get first pick of next year’s prime patch locations. Bring your creativity, gather your team, and help us make this 20th anniversary one to remember!
Scarecrow Applications
The scarecrow application process is open to everyone. Any family-friendly design is welcome. Those interested in creating a scarecrow are invited to complete an application online.
Applications open August 11, and spots in the scarecrow patch go FAST.
