Live Music Match Featuring Yoshihanaa live at the Spotlight Community Stage

In celebration of Black History Month, Alpharetta Arts & Culture is thrilled to launch the 2026 Music Match season with a dynamic performance by Yoshihanaa, in partnership with Frank Houston.
Yoshihanaa is a vocalist known for her powerful, genre-bending style and participation in The Voice Season 28 as part of Team Snoop, where she gained significant attention for performances like her rendition of “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” and other soulful classics.

Black History Printmaking with Greg Stone

Elizabeth Catlett, Kara Walker, Jacob Lawrence, Kerry James Marshall, Faith Ringold are just a handful of the many African American artists who have helped change the course of art history! In this relief printmaking workshop, students will learn the basics of carving, registration, and printing with and without a press to create a portrait or narrative linocut print inspired by Black History Month, and then many artists and individuals who have helped shape the course of history. Students will carve a block and print in class, leaving with a small edition of their piece! No experience necessary.
Bailey-Johnson School & Community Film Screening
Trailblazers Forging a Path for the Next Generation

Film Screening! Presented by the City of Alpharetta and the Alpharetta & Old Milton County Historical Society, this moving documentary tells the story of the Bailey-Johnson School, which, from 1950–1967, provided vital educational opportunities for Black students in North Fulton. Featuring interviews, photos, and first-hand accounts, the film celebrates the legacy of the school, the community that built it, and the leaders who fought for equality in education.
