The Velvet Note is an award-winning, beautifully-appointed listening room in Alpharetta, Georgia.  The sound stage hosts a true classic—a 1924 Baldwin M series baby grand piano. Enjoy shows on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. On Wednesday’s from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. enjoy the Velvet Note’s OASIS After Work.  Come when you want…stay as long as you wish. This is your music sanctuary, enveloped in the aura of our custom-designed Dannelly sound system.    It’s the place where you can hear the beat of your own heart.

Drummer/Writer/Producer James “PJ” Spraggins came on the jazz scene with his debut CD “The Light of Day”, released in 2006. He decided to release his own music as a way of staying busy in between calls for tours with other artists including Eric Essix, Ola Onabule & Tracy Hamlin to name a few. Three albums later, James PJ Spraggins remains hard at work performing and collaborating with others artists as well as deepening his repertoire of original music.
