Spring in Alpharetta might as well be called porch-sippin’ season! With more sunshine and that sweet Southern breeze enticing us to find a patio pronto, there’s truly no better time of year to indulge outside. Here are just a few of our fave places to grab a drink and pull up a seat al fresco in Alpharetta:
1) Salt Factory Pub – 102 S. Main Street
New American fare, a ridiculous amount of on-tap craft beers, a cute covered porch, and a robust seasonal cocktail menu make Salt Factory Pub an outdoor imbiber’s dream come true. Saddle up to an outdoor seat on a sunny day for their Simply Grilled Oysters featuring herb butter, EVOO, and lemon and be sure to order the Opulent Sparkle, a spring-centric cocktail blending Prosecco bubbles, perfect pom syrup, and a sprig of refreshing rosemary.
2) Village Tavern – 11555 Rainwater Drive
Scratch-made menu items, daily drink specials, and a sweet spot to sit and chill outside make Village Tavern a prime dining location when you want to spring for some fun! Seriously, you can find deals ranging from $2 off brunch bevs (hello, Sunday Funday!) to half-off bottles of wine on Wednesday with plenty of martinis, drafts, and craft cocktails in between during all the other days of the week! For every day that ends in Y, you can live your best life on their pristine outdoor dining area. To accompany your adult beverage, be sure to opt for the bruschetta with basil pesto or the ahi tuna sashimi. After all, what’s a spring day sipper without a tasty snack to soak it up?
3) Citizen Soul – 60 S. Main Street
West Coast cuisine meets Southern staples at this gorgeous S. Main eatery. Add in awesome outdoor patio ambiance (even welcome to pets!) and you’ve got the ideal spot unwind with your gals (or guys!) over some shareable plates and a bottle of wine. Don’t miss out on the golden-fried pimento cheese fritters and house red pepper chili jam for a next-level palate party. Pair with a bottle of light-and-airy pinot grigio or a round of Roswell Mules, the restaurant’s soulful, Southern take on the vodka-ginger beer classic enhanced with spicy ginger shrub, fresh lime juice for a tickle of tart, and 18.21 Ginger Beer.
4) Chiringa – 34 S. Main Street
Spring break is a state of mind at Chiringa, one of the area’s newest eateries. Here, you’ll find elevated beach food like the insanely delicious Chop Chop Bowl (featuring fluffy yellow rice, juicy chargrilled chicken, fresh veggies, and a kiss of savory mustard curry sauce) and Dole Whip that’ll immediately transport your taste buds to the happiest place on earth (seriously, if you don’t know—try it!). Set up a good-vibes-only lunch situation on Chiringa’s outside patio, order some house made guac with an order of crispy tortilla chips or plantain chips, and treat yourself to a little #beachdining minus the sand and long drive! Really embody the Spring Break state of mind with their ahhhh-inducing Frose or kick it tried and true with a house made margarita with organic tequila, fresh citrus juices, and golden agave nectar.
