Winter break is almost upon us, and that means moms, dads and grandparents are searching for the perfect activities to entertain the young ones. Luckily, Alpharetta has plenty of festive fun options that will bring holiday cheer to everyone!

Glide Across the Ice

Twirling across ice isn’t just for Olympic ice skaters! Avalon on Ice at Avalon is a monumental Rockefeller-inspired ice-skating rink. Underneath the gorgeous holiday lights strung across Avalon’s main plaza, you can don your skates and take the kiddos out for a spin. In addition to being a great exercise-packed activity for younger groups, Avalon on Ice also makes a great date night or activity for friends.

Paint a Holiday Picture

Does your child aspire to be the next Monet? For an enjoyable, educational artsy activity, Painting with a Twist offers various holiday-themed classes. Enjoy a Family Day class on Saturday, December 12, or a Mommy & Me class on Saturday, December 19. There is also a crazy reindeer canvas class on December 19 for Family/Kids. Each class is led by an experienced instructor who will demonstrate the best techniques to make a masterpiece. Bring holiday snacks and beverages to complete the fun! Make sure to book your class ahead of time by clicking here.

Get Fired Up and Festive

Continue to get in touch with your creative side by painting your own pottery at All Fired Up. All Fired Up offers classes Tuesday through Saturday in addition to offering private classes to groups. You can book a class for the whole family or attend an already scheduled class. Children will enjoy picking their own special piece of pottery and the colors they would like to paint with. Once they paint it to perfection, the piece goes through the kiln to glaze the piece and then it’s ready to go home! To schedule a class, click here.

Bake It Until You Make It

Over the holiday season, the cooking school will offer multiple Gingerbread House classes where they provide the instruction and supplies – then they do the cleaning up!
