Santa’s Toy Factory has magically arrived at North Point Mall. Enter Santa’s workshop and become an official toy tester. Kids get to test and design one-of-a-kind toys with Barbie®, Hot Wheels®, and Thomas & Friends™ while also seeing the big man himself: Santa! Make sure to bring your list…because, of course, you are on the nice list. Santa arrives at North Point Mall on Friday, November 9 and sticks around until Monday, December 24 (check website for photo packages and times). From November 18 until January 21, Alpharetta’s Avalon is transformed into a winter wonderland! Here, you’ll find an epic Rockefeller-inspired ice-skating rink surrounded by glimmering twinkle lights and gorgeous holiday decorations. Opportunities to twizzle, swizzle, and turn (or simply hang on to that trusty wall for dear life!) abound all week long at Avalon on Ice, too! From Monday to Friday, the rink is open from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. It’s even open on Christmas from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., so you can take a break from those tough-to-put-together toys and noisy electronics and enjoy the crisp winter weather. And did you know you can burn as many as 250 calories in just 30 minutes? Talk about getting in a great post-feast burn!
Kids are just as excited to ring in the New Year as their parents but need to be in bed well before midnight. Luckily, this New Year’s Eve event is designed with kids…and their schedule in mind. You can kick off your New Year’s celebration early and head to Avalon’s inaugural Noon Year’s Eve Party at The Hotel at Avalon. This family-friendly event invites partygoers of all ages to ring in 2019 with live music, face painting, crafts, and countdown to Noon when a giant balloon drop will welcome in the New Year! The event takes place on Monday, Dec 31 and the celebration begins at 10 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m. with the balloon drop at Noon. Happy New Year!
