A vibrant, non-profit formal art gallery within the global headquarters of Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, supporting local and international artists. Currently featuring the works of Japanese artist Sadao Watanabe (1913-1996), Japan’s foremost print artist of the 20th century. Born in 1913, he found inspiration in the mingei folk art movement that developed in Japan in the mid-1920s, utilizing natural materials and promoting handmade work. Watanabe converted at the age of 17 and as such often explored biblical stories in his art. Beauty Given by Grace: The Works of Sadao Watanbe features 30 of these original works. The exhibit opened on October 1, 2017 and will remain on view until December 30, 2017.
