Alpharetta’s Don't Miss Events

Memorial services in front of City Hall.  Parade begins immediately following the ceremony and will include bands, floats, military groups, antique vehicles, civic organizations, and more. Race will begins on Old Milton Parkway near the City Pool at Wills Park.

Touch a Truck 
Children can see, touch, and explore their favorite BIG TRUCKS at the Touch A Truck event at North Park.  Featured vehicles include a fire truck, dump truck, school bus, 18-wheeler, limo, police vehicles, and more.  Children will enjoy playing in the CONSTRUCTION ZONE where they can build their own creation with nails and wood.  Food vendors will be on site selling concessions.

Alpharetta's FunFest & Classic Car Show
Much more than a car show, the FunFest has something for the entire family.  The Kids' Zone includes a petting zoo, arts and crafts area, rides and games.  Entertainment thoughout the day and evening.

Scarecrow Harvest
A celebration of the fall harvest with colorful scarecrows made by local school children lining Main Street. Bring the family for barbecue and live folk music!  Hay rides, face painting, storytelling and fall children’s crafts. Alpharetta Farmers Market fresh produce and live scarecrows add to the seasonal fun.

Tree Lighting Ceremony
All the magic of Christmas glistens at the annual lighting of the City of Alpharetta’s 45’ live spruce with 10,000 white lights. Live holiday music with James Casto, children’s music and dance performances, and the reading of a Christmas classic with Mayor Arthur Letchas and his wife Sally.  A “TOP 20” event by Southeast Tourism Society!

The race is a 5K/10K Peachtree Qualifier for the serious runner as well as a Fun Run/Walk for the whole family.

Celebrate Independence Day with family and friends at Wills Park.  Bring your blanket or yard chairs and picnic basket and relax under the stars.  Activities include free children's game, concert by the Alpharetta City Band and other musicians.  Watch a beautiful fireworks display at dusk.
