Spring has officially sprung and we are ready for the days of strolling down the streets of downtown Alpharetta while enjoying one of our favorite festivals! Here is a round-up of the season’s largest festivals and events taking place in Alpharetta!
March 25 at Verizon Amphitheatre
With a motto of “Eat Drink and Cure Cystic Fibrosis” this annual event turns Verizon Amphitheatre into a sea of green thanks to the St. Patrick’s Day theme. Dance a jig while listening to the folky Irish band, grab a local brew on tap and put a little green down to win one of the many silent auction items.
May 4 in downtown Alpharetta
Locals wait all year to sample small bites from their favorite restaurants at this family-tradition event that will be in its 27th year in 2017! Unlike other “taste” events that charge more than a high-end steak dinner to attend, this foodie festival has a free entry fee and attendees can purchase samples at their leisure. And with food tickets being 50 cents each, you can (over)feed the entire family at a price that doesn’t break the bank! This is an event you can’t miss – but don’t just take our word for it. This event has been named a “Top 20 Event in the Southeast for 2017” by the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society!
May 27-29 in downtown Alpharetta
Grab a latte from one of the local coffee shops downtown (Mugs on Milton or The Nest Café) and browse the nearly 100 tents featuring juried artists from around the region. Shop a wide variety of original art and relax to the sounds of live music as Alpharetta’s Art scene fills the street. Make sure to send the kids over for free hands-on art activities and grab a bite from one of the food vendors.
June 3, 2017 in downtown Alpharetta
Everyone dances better after a pint from their favorite brewery! So, let loose and rock out to bands in the streets of downtown Alpharetta! Bring lawn chairs along to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Individual tickets are $10, a table of eight is $130 and a table of six is $100.
June 3, Brookeside Office Park Lake
There’s nothing better than casting a line during a warm spring day in Alpharetta. With a lake stocked full of catfish, everyone has a chance for a big catch! Kids ages 4-12 are invited to participate and prizes awarded for the longest fish caught and most fish caught bring friendly competition. This is a free event, but pre-registration is required.
July 4, Wills Park
Picnics and fireworks will fill Wills Park during Alpharetta’s annual July 4th Festivities and Fireworks. Entertainment including kid-friendly activities are offered on the lawn and the fireworks show starts at dusk!
Along with the many “Don’t Miss Events” that happen every year, Alpharetta has three ongoing seasonal events that we can’t get enough of!
