In the South, March signifies the unofficial start of patio season, doesn’t it? We might have to have those heaters out for a couple more weeks to truly enjoy it, but that’s fine by me. Are you looking forward to the warm spring days ahead of us? If so, here are the best patios in Alpharetta that you should be perched on to enjoy those days.
Though the patio is small, it is still a fantastic spot for lunch. They offer both red and white pizzas and even have gluten free options. You can’t go wrong with the simple, Margherita pizza. Save room for the Gelato of the Day or Tiramisu.
Ceviche Taqueria & Margarita Bar
The large patio overlooking downtown Alpharetta is in high demand on spring and fall weekends. Have one of their tasty margaritas and start your meal off with the ceviche sampler, which includes smaller portions of your favorite three ceviches!
Cru Wine Bar
You have two patio options at this Avalon hot stop. Choose to sit on the front patio in all the action or opt to take in all the action from the rooftop bar. Sip on your favorite vino and enjoy light bites. If you’re still in need of dinner, you can easily walk to one of the other restaurants in Avalon. This is a great spot for a girls night out too!
Crust Pasta & Pizzeria
Located right on Main Street in downtown Alpharetta, Crust is a popular spot for couples and families, especially on weekends. So call ahead if you are looking to dine there on Friday or Saturday. The patio is the perfect spot to relax at on a warm spring day. There are plenty of mouth-watering appetizers like Arancini, Calamari and Mussels to start off your meal.
The El Felix
A recent venture by Ford Fry, this restaurant features a modern take on Tex Mex. While the food is outstanding, the patio is superb. Tacos are tasty but there are dishes like steak and Snapper as well for a hearty meal. Lunch specials during the week abound too!
Ray’s at Killer Creek
Kick lunch or dinner up a notch by enjoying Ray’s patio. The patio overlooks the peaceful Foe Creek and is surrounded by greenery. And the Big Green Eggs are cooking away while you dine al fresco, so the intoxicating smell is just an added bonus.
While you are golfing, you are enjoying the beautiful views of this golf course, perched high above the grounds. It’s a terrific way to spend a lazy afternoon. Delicious cocktails (get the skinny margarita!), appetizers and burgers are plentiful as well.
South Main Kitchen
South Main Kitchen has both tables in the front and in the back of their second story patio overlooking downtown. Watch all the action during the city’s annual events while sipping on a cocktail.
Hop Alley Brew Pub
Grab a brew and overlook downtown Alpharetta’s festivals and events from the back patio!
