Alpharetta Big Creek Greenway

Trail Length: 6.1 miles one way joins 1.5 mile loop
Type of Trail: Out and back; easy
Access Points: YMCA at Preston Ridge Road or North Point Parkway or Haynes Bridge Road, Alpharetta
Characteristics: 12 foot wide paved path for biking, walking, roller blading, inline skating along creek; birds and mammals, flora and fauna, can be seen from the trail. Access to beginner and intermediate mountain bike trails. Restrooms available.

Autrey Mill Nature Preserve and Heritage Center

Type of Trail: Loop; easy

Characteristics: Nature trails situated on 46+ acres that wander past a scenic creek with rocky shoals, bridges, spring seeps, mature trees, wildflowers, native plants, and a variety of animal life. Benches, pavilions and restrooms.
 

Central Park Mountain Bike Trail
Trail Length: 3.5 miles
Type of Trail: Loop
Access Points: 2300 Keith Bridge Road, Cumming
Characteristics: Single use- mountain bike only. Easy to moderate with additional Free Ride Park area. Beginner –friendly.
 

Chattahoochee Nature Center Trail
Trail Length: 2.5 miles
Type of Trail: Loop; easy
Access Points: Chattahoochee Nature Center at Willeo Road, Roswell, GA
Characteristics: Beginner hiker friendly with lake and river views. Discovery Center for kids along with natural history and animal exhibits along the trail.
 

Forsyth Big Creek Greenway
Trail Length: 6.75 Miles
Type of Trail: Out and back
Access Points: McFarland Road and Bethelview Road, Cumming
Characteristics: Opening Aug 2009. Multi-use concrete and wooden boardwalk linear trail. Bike, rollerblade and foot traffic only.  Great for nature viewing.
 

Island Ford Trail

Characteristics: Mostly shaded, compact soil hiking trail with views of the Chattahoochee River. Restrooms and picnic tables.
 

Jones Bridge Trail
Trail Length: 5.2 miles
Type of Trail: Loop, easy
Access Points: Holcomb Bridge Road, Duluth
Characteristics: Hiking trail runs along the Chattahoochee River, crossing 3 wooden bridges and is part of 195 acre park with picnic tables, restrooms, canoe and kayak boat launches, and viewing deck.
 

Leita Thompson Memorial Park Trail
Trail Length: 2.3 miles
Type of Trail: Loop
Access Points: 1200 Woodstock Road, Roswell
Characteristics: Pedestrian only. Natural trail meandering through heavily wooded areas.   Somewhat hilly with dramatic views of lakes and natural vegetation.
 

Roswell RiverWalk
Trail Length:  3.1 miles
Type of Trail: Out and back 
Access Points: Don White Park at 925 Riverside Road or, Riverside Park at 575 Riverside Road or, Azalea Park at 203 Azalea Drive, Roswell
Characteristics: Paved, flat trail with boardwalks runs along the Chattahoochee River. Bikes and skates allowed.
 

Sawnee Mountain Preserve

Type of Trail:  easy to strenuous
Access Points:  Spot Road or Bettis Tribble Gap Road, Cumming
Characteristics: Includes visitor center, rock climbing, restrooms, picnic and viewing areas, canopy walk and tree house. No dogs allowed!
 

Vickery Creek Trail Complex
Trail Length: 6.5 miles
Type of Trail: Loop; moderate
Access Points: Oxbo Road or Roswell Mill, Hwy 9 , Roswell
Characteristics: Part of the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area. Interpretive hiking trail winds past the Roswell Mill and along the banks of the creek. Mountain bikes prohibited.

Webb Bridge Park
Trail Length: approx 1.7 miles
Type of Trail: Loop
Access Points: 4780 Webb Bridge Road, Alpharetta
Characteristics: crushed limestone, perfect for running and walking. Shaded, more private trail that winds by creek. Restrooms available.
 

Wills Park
Trail Length: 1.8 mile
Type of Trail: Loop with spurs
Access Points: Old Milton Parkway or 11925 Wills Road, Alpharetta
Characteristics: 110 acre park with 8 foot wide paved asphalt path for walking. Winds through arboretum and passes the equestrian area. Restrooms available.
