Alpharetta offers unique shopping districts making shopping in Alpharetta just as diverse and exciting. Enjoy the quaint antique shops along Main Street and the fresh boutiques along Windward Parkway. North Point Mall offers more than 160 stores, including American Girl Boutique and Bistro where you can dine, shop and have your doll’s hair coiffed at the in-store doll hair salon. The entire city is chock full of interesting and unusual specialty shops.
Alpharetta loves to play!  Alpharetta’s ability to host winning events across any age group is evidenced by a successful track record, including the: Tour de Georgia, AARP Triathlon series and ITU World Cup Duathlon Championships. Recently, Alpharetta assisted with several sporting events, including the: Atlanta Open Figure Skating Competition (June 2008), Second Annual Ice Dance Weekend (July 2008), USTA Girls’ 12 and Under Hard Court National Junior Championships (August 2008) and the Amateur Softball Association Men’s Modified Tournament (September 2008). Alpharetta is quickly gaining a reputation as a renowned sports destination. The city’s award-winning parks and recreational facilities have been honored at both the state and national level. And you can’t miss a particularly popular facility, the Big Creek Greenway, a 8-mile, 12 foot wide concrete path that meanders through heavily wooded wetlands and provides a trail for walkers, joggers, in-line skaters, and bike riders to explore.
As written in an article in local magazine, Points North, Alpharetta is not content to rest on its laurels, the forward thinking city is committed to making an awesome thing even better!  On the horizon is a new city center and the Prospect Park.
You're sure to find Alpharetta to be a destination unlike any other. The only thing you won't find is a shortage of interesting things to enjoy, experience, and explore!
